Majority of debates on convergence of security are centered on technology.
Integrated platforms.
Shared dashboards.
Unified monitoring systems.

These tools are valuable.
The real problem, however, is rarely resolved by technology.
The security tasks are shared in several departments in most organisations.
The physical security teams report directly via facilities.
Cybersecurity units lie within IT.
Risk management can be located elsewhere completely.

Both groups address the risk in a different way.
But scant attention is exercised as to the manner in which these functions are coordinated.
Systems can be connected with technology.

However, coordination is not made by systems.
Following which is also a curious inquiry.

Is security convergence a technological issue?
